Notorious US rock bank Motley Crue are perhaps better known for lubrication of a different sort than lithium complex grease, but when a staff member from Metro Radio Arena came calling at Tyne and Wear Oils in advance of their show it wasn't for anything you could get from your local off licence!
Currently playing their 'Final Tour', one of the visual highlights is Tommy Lee's 'Roller Coaster' drum kit (the Cruecifly!).
With such a large piece of machinery, and a one that is literally designed to 'roll', you are going to want to make sure it is well lubricated with grease that can handle weight and pressure (as well as some thundering beats).
Tyne and Wear Oils were happy to oblige with a 12.5kg keg of lithium complex grease.

Lithium complex grease isn't the obvious essential component to a night of rock and roll, but happily the show went off without a hitch and the Crue rock on!
