Varform 446 Drawing and Stamping Lubricant is a chlorine free heavy duty, EP neat drawing and stamping lubricant.

Varform 446 is a blend of severely solvent refined oil, EP additives, low temperature performance esters and corrosion inhibitors. It is free from chlorine and is suitable for a wide range of presswork applications from severe duty to light. The product can be used neat or diluted with other oils to vary its performance and is water washable to aid post form cleaning.

Varform 446 has high film strength characteristics with good EP properties. It is used in severe drawing of light to heavy gauge metals particularly on deep and intricate draws where splitting, scoring and galling are problems. Developed for severe applications such as forming off highway wheels.

Varform 446 has been formulated for applications such as large components where press and dwell time are extended due to the size and shape of the forming operation. The product provides excellent boundary lubrication under these conditions utilising ester technology that performs at relatively low temperatures therefore aiding a slow high pressure forming process.
